How to make Pizza with our Essential Bread Mix
- Preheat the oven to 475 F
- Prepare Essential Bread Mix batter as per oven instructions on the back of the package. (For ease of cleaning, if you have a bread machine, use it to prepare the batter and stop the machine as soon as the paddle stops and the mix cycle is complete).
- Allow the batter to rise in a warm spot for about 20 minutes.
- Spray a baking sheet liberally with cooking spray.
- Spoon ½ the batter onto the sprayed baking sheet.
- Spray a sheet of plastic wrap about the same size as the baking sheet with cooking spray.
- Using the wrap (spray side down) press the batter down into a large rectangular shaped crust about ¼ to ½ inch thick (depending on how thick you want the crust to be). Remove the plastic wrap.
- Carefully, with a light hand, spread the sauce onto the crust and add the remaining toppings as desired.
- Bake for 10 minutes.
If you only want one pizza, you can put the remaining batter in the refrigerator and it will keep for 2-3 days. Simply remove from the refrigerator and prepare it as per the instructions above.
Peter's Favourite: Feta and Onion Focaccia
Prepare crust as above, drizzle and carefully spread 1 ½ tbsp olive oil on surface of batter. Sprinkle a little salt and pepper over the crust. Spread feta and sliced red onion pieces over the crust and bake as per directions above.
